Describe the application and process first

Start with the product you intend to make: an insulating riser sleeve, lightweight refractory, panel, coating, rubber or plastic product, or resin-based composite.

Describe the application, current process and material goals to help guide the specification discussion.

Define particle size and density clearly

Provide the required particle-size range, mesh size or distribution, including units and the sieve standard.

For density, specify the type, target value or range and units. The 0.30-0.45 g/cm³ example in the introductory article is the bulk density of some products; it does not replace another density requirement or describe every grade.

Include existing composition requirements

For specific applications such as riser sleeves, provide alumina, carbon or other raw material requirements where relevant.

These requirements help identify suitable grades. If values are not yet defined, start by describing the application and process. There is no need to invent figures to begin a discussion.

Explain sample and purchasing plans

For sample requests or bulk quotations, describe the test application, expected quantity, packaging needs and supply schedule. Specific terms are agreed during discussion.

Frequently asked questions

Can I enquire without a complete specification?

Yes. Describe the application and processing requirements first. Particle-size, density and composition details can be added as needed.

Can particle-size grading be discussed for my needs?

Qianjia offers multiple particle-size specifications and can discuss grading based on your formulation and processing requirements.
